Systems Engineer - Storage and Backup ($55-70k)
Job description
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage storage and backup solutions, including on-premises private cloud, to meet the organization's data protection and recovery requirements.
- Play a role in project management such as tracking project deliverables timeline and exceptions.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of storage and backup solutions with other systems.
- Collaborate with the InfoSec/infrastructure engineering and support teams to adopt modern technologies, such as multi-cloud and container orchestration, to enhance manageability.
- Develop and maintain documentation for IT infrastructure processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information System or IT related disciplines.
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure administration, troubleshooting and security hardening.
- Hands on experience in storage and/or private cloud technologies such as Dell EMC, Hitachi Data Systems, NetApp, Huawei Cloud Stack, Microsoft Azure Stack.
- Willing to work on weekends for server setup and testing.
- Good communication in both Chinese and English
