System Engineer (Linux) - 45-55k banking

The Company

It is a reputable retail bank in Hong Kong with top business performance in its sector. They are expanding the infrastructure team to support the bank-wide projects.



Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for Linux/Windows servers, VMWare, Internet/Intranet, Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Certificate System, Red Hat Directory Server, Netbackup ,etc.
  • Collaborate with the application teams on system configuration and review
  • Responsible for daily system administration and problem troubleshooting
  • Conduct disaster recovery rehearsals
  • Automation of server operations
  • Protect systems reliability



Requirements

  • Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information System or IT related disciplines
  • 8+ years of hands-on Linux/Windows administration experience
  • Technically proficient in Bash/Powershell for scripting
  • Familiarity with Automation practices and tools
  • Experience of managing change implementation on large scale systems
  • Excellent command in Cantonese speaking and English written capability
