Senior Procurement Manager - Well-established OEM Manufacturer

Job description

Our client is a leading OEM manufacturer with established operation in the region. They are now inviting an experienced purchasing professional to join their team.

As the Senior Procurement Manager, you will oversee the end to end purchasing operation of the organization. You will manage supplier relationships, optimize procurement processes, and ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of components and materials. You'll play a key role in driving the global supply chain strategies, maintaining supply chain resilience and supporting product innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end to end procurement operations, including sourcing, supplier management and material control, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Lead strategic supplier negotiations, contract management, and long-term partnership development.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes, systems, and supplier performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, production, quality, and finance teams to support new product development and operational planning.
  • Analyze global market trends, risks, and opportunities to inform sourcing decisions and mitigate supply chain disruptions.
  • Mentor and develop procurement team members, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field;
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in managing end to end procurement operation, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success in managing global sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization programs.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement analytics tools; experience with digital procurement platforms is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is required.

**Frequent traveling to China is required**
