Lead Data Scientist - Banking ($60-80k + bonus)

It is a leading banking institution with solid business across Greater China, driving their AI/digital transformation. They are looking for a hands-on Lead Data Scientist to develop and implement the latest AI model in the Bank.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the continuous development and optimization of the firm's self-developed AI model, ensuring it aligns with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
• Drive firm-wide digitalization initiatives, collaborating with various departments to integrate AI solutions that enhance business processes.
• Develop and implement training programs for colleagues to promote understanding and effective use of digital tools and AI technologies.
• Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI applications within the bank and advocate for necessary resources.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in AI and machine learning, applying insights to enhance the bank's capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of work experience, Big 4 candidates with banking assignment experience will also be considered.
• Proven experience in AI and Machine Learning, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong programming skills in Python, particularly for data engineering, analysis, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP) etc
• Strong understanding of digital transformation strategies and tools.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong commands of Chinese and English is a must.
