IT Infrastructure and Systems Engineer - asset management

The company is a leading global buyside firm with expanding business in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support for IT operations, including maintenance and troubleshooting of systems and infrastructure.
• Assist in the deployment and setup of local and regional office IT systems.
• Support Exchange connectivity setups and participate in testing.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of infrastructure improvements.
• Provide end-user support, addressing technical issues promptly and effectively.
• Ensure a high level of customer service by communicating clearly with users and providing timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with team members on research and development projects to enhance technology solutions.
• Manage vendor relationships and assist in procurement processes.
• Document processes and procedures for system operations.
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications in networking/system engineering, eg ITIL, CCNP, MCSE
• 3-6 years of experience in IT infrastructure and systems engineering.
• Proficient in Windows Server/Desktop support and administration.
• Familiarity with Linux systems and network support.
• Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware is a plus.
• Technical proficiency in Powershell is desired but not a must.
• Understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
