Head of Technology - Chinese financial firm (1.5-2.0mil)

It is a 2-tier financial institution in Hong Kong with strong business across Greater China area.

Responsibilities

• Report to C-suite and take accountability for overseeing various IT functional teams with the size of >100 people
• Drive competitive IT strategies and business roadmaps
• Prepare and monitor the department budget to ensure adequate resources for effective and efficient IT projects and personnel cost
• Review, develop and deploy IT related framework, policies, guidelines and standards to ensure regulatory compliance
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency within the IT operations of the group
• Strategize in planning, operations, integration, and implementation of information systems and services
• Establish and maintain effective partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related disciplines
• Candidate with MBA qualification is preferred
• Minimum 10 years in senior management positions in managing a large team of technology professionals (>50 staff) in sizable firms
• Proven knowledge and experience in developing and managing different IT functions - development and infrastructure
• Experience in project management and FinTech initiatives is desirable
• Good understanding and knowledge of all-round IT functions and the latest technology concepts, trends and capabilities.
• Excellent command of spoken and written Chinese is a must
