Application Support (Java) - ibank ($50-80k + bonus)

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to trading applications built in Java.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify enhancements and optimizations for the trading systems.
  • Provide first and second-line support to end-users, ensuring timely resolution of incidents.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Assist in the deployment of new applications and updates in conjunction with the development team.
  • Document procedures and solutions in a knowledge base for future reference.
  • Participate in the testing of software releases and patches.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring that technology solutions meet business objectives.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and business units to align project goals and deliverables.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and support training sessions to end-users.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in application support, preferably in a financial or trading environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, with experience in developing or supporting Java applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools is desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
