Working Capital Manager (International law firm)

About our client:


Our client is a leading, well-known international law firm with with Hong Kong office situated in the heart of Central. Due to business needs, they now invite an experienced Billing professional to join their HK finance team and lead their Working Capital team.

Job responsibilties:

  • Oversee Billing, AR, Collection and Revenue for HK office
  • Manage the Billing operations to ensure timely, accurate and quality work output
  • Liaise with internal pricing team and fee earners on billing matters
  • Work closely with firm's global ebilling team to implement the account set up and to execute operational processes
  • Conduct regular meeting with partners or senior stakeholders on WIP management, billing matters and billing arrangement
  • Swiftly and effectively resolve billing related issues, and liaise with other support teams looking for solution promptly
  • Implement internal controls to review and monitor the accuracy and completeness of bill records
  • Ensure compliance with firm billing procedures and policies, Hong Kong Law Society and billing requirements from clients or partners
  • Produce reports and billing information requred by partners or fee earners
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with Partners and the Practices across the region
  • Collaborating effectively with clients and colleagues within the practice as well as other finance and business support teams
  • Perform ad-hoc assignments as requested

Requirements:

  • Degree holder
  • Familar with Elite3E or Aderant is a must
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Minimum 8 years billing experience in the legal / professional services industry, including 3 years in a managerial role
  • Self-motivated, problem solving skills and able to communicate with different of staffs
  • Speaks fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)
