Wintel Specialist - Banking Space (40k - 45k)

Job description

Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and controlling the delivery of Virtual Machine, Wintel infrastructure system related services. Ensuring the IT infrastructure related project are delivered on time & relevant controls are performed accurately & properly according to the Bank's standard procedures

Position Accountabilities:

Finance
  • Assist in preparation of team budget
Customer
  • Ensure the Virtual Machine, Wintel infrastructure performance and develop recommendations for corrections or improvements
Process
  • Propose Virtual Machine, Wintel infrastructure standard and utilities to be adopted
  • Manage Virtual Machine, Wintel infrastructure administration functions
  • Perform Virtual Machine, Wintel infrastructure system administration functions
  • Participate in Virtual Machine, Wintel infrastructure system configuration design review
  • Assist in problem solving related to Virtual Machine, Wintel infrastructure system area
People
  • Develop the relevant staff with the right kinds and level of skill
Other
  • Perform any other duties as directed by supervisor
Compliance &
Risk Management
  • Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity; and
  • Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work



Competence Requirements:

Academic Qualifications / Professional Qualifications / Relevant Experience Requirements / Job Knowledge

University graduate in Computer Science or equivalent; OR
Preferable at least 3 years' working experience in IT covering the following:
  • At least 3 years of experience in Wintel server / infrastructure management
  • Solid experience in Virtualization infrastructure like VMWare, Sangfor, Nutanix, Hyper-V
  • Solid experience in Wintel based infrastructure like RemoteApp, Control-M, RightFax, Active Directory, SharePoint
  • Sound knowledge on Cloud based technologies like Amazon, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, O365
  • Sound knowledge on various infrastructure components, such as Linux, Unix, AIX, Network, Firewall
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills including teamwork, facilitation & negotiation.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Candidate with more IT experience will consider as Technical Services Manger
