Vice President - Finance | Retail industry

About the client

Our client is a leading retail brand with a regional office in Hong Kong. The position covers Greater China and North Asia alongside other entities in Southeast Asia. Being a well-established in the retail field, they have been successful in becoming a reputable brand in their niche and is well known in their industry. The Vice President will be in charge of the Finance functions and managing the global business and its investing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the finance division with a team of over 5 members of staff in Hong Kong
  • Act as the finance business partner for internal stakeholders including the CEO, overseas finance and other business heads.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to drive business performance and ensure business reaches strategic long-term goals
  • Define and monitor on the execution of strategic business plans including expansion
  • Manage internal compliance unique to the industry, treasury and taxation processes
  • Oversee capital investment and manage private equity stakeholders
  • Take part in significant strategic negotiations with internal and external stakeholders
  • Hire and develop future talent

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance or relevant disciplines
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience, retail experience is required, with fashion apparel an advantage
  • Strong commercial mindset and able to allocate resources within organization to drive growth and capture market share
  • Previous experience with countries in APAC including Greater China is an added advantage
  • All rounded coverage in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury and Business Planning & Analysis
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a finance team
  • Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English and Chinese is preferred
