Tax Manager (New headcount, HK$40k-50k)

Job description

Our client is a leading shipping MNC with business over the globe. To cope with their expansion plan and to strengthen their business, they are currently looking for a Tax Manager to join their Finance team.

Job responsibilities:

  • Implement tax strategies to optimize our tax position and efficiency
  • Implement group legal entity restructuring plan with a tax efficient manner
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local tax regulations in HK and other jurisdictions
  • Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
  • Advise stakeholders on tax implications of business decisions and transactions
  • Collaborate with other functions such as finance, legal, HR and operations to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions
  • Monitor changes in local tax rules and updating the company on their potential impacts
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and service providers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Prior exposure to tax-related aspects, such as withholding tax and transfer pricing is required
  • Strong knowledge of Hong Kong and China tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience with transfer pricing regulations and documentation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
