Strategic Sourcing, Regional Director - US Listed Retail

Our client is a US-listed retail company and is one of the biggest retailers in the world with a strong people oriented company culture and excellent brands under its umbrella. With the business expansion and upscale plan, the company is looking for a Regional Strategic Sourcing Director to drive a holistic and long-term sourcing strategy at this important time.

You will be acting as an internal advisor, responsible for the strategic sourcing strategy for all categories in line with the commercial objective. As a Regional Strategic Sourcing Director, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading a newly created team on designing and driving strategic sourcing strategy
• Conducting high-level research on market and cost-of-performance trends on a regular basis
• Providing data-driven insight and identifying the opportunities to maximize sourcing strategy effectiveness
• Formulating and maintaining overall Project Management Roadmap with multi-year plans
• Developing and driving sourcing improvement plans, pricing & costing strategies and communicating project status to management teams
• Establishing strategic forecasting and identifying trends to capitalize business opportunities
• Managing the relationship with suppliers to enhance operation efficiency
• Partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver on agreed plans and goals

To qualify, individuals must possess:

• Degree and have 10 or more years' experience in strategic sourcing with expertise in pricing & costing
• Experience in driving data-driven busniess strategy and leading major analytics projects in the retail sector with a multi-national team environment
• Solid experience in driving predictive analytics and market insight generation projects
• in fast-paced environment
• Global or regional leadership experience with cross-functional knowledge beyond Sourcing and Operation
• Knowledgeable in project management methods, development project roadmap, including risk evaluation, development and application of sophisticated project work tactics
• Strong analytical ability with outstanding commercial acumen and strategic thinking
• Solid leadership skills and ability to influence senior stakeholder at both regional and global level
• Excellent command of written & spoken English
