Software Technical Analyst - Financial Services - Hong Kong

Our client is a leading financial services group, they are now hiring a high calibre Software Technical Analyst to join their fast-growing team.

Responsibilities:

• You will own and support a wide variety of systems from a Level 2 perspective
• You will work with business clients to debug or trouble shoot applications
• You will investigate SQL stored procedures, Java, .Net code, Batch scripts from a support perspective to debug issues or perform analysis for minor enhancements
• You will coach and lead associate system analysts in your team, and peer with upstream/downstream Application teams to form a top-performing support model aligned with measurable business SLAs
• You will coordinate code deployments with Dev, release and QA
• You will investigate feed failures and manage to resolution

Requirements:

• 4+ years working experience supporting systems at Level 2 (support)
• Strong experience of SQL and Oracle database
• Nice to have: COBOL, knowledge of pension business workflow
• Experience around production support/Business Analyst/disaster recovery
• Experience with relational database structures and methodologies
• Excellent English communication, Cantonese speaker preferred
• Ability to understand business process requirements and through the use of technology, conceptualize creative solutions through to implementation
• Awareness of ITIL practices in aligning IT services with the needs of business.
