(Senior) Technical Lead - Insurance Industry 70-100k
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading the NB & Underwriting modernization project
- Act as an advisor to product owner to develop end-to-end solution related to Agency mobile app, eKYC solution, NB workbench, Munich Re rule engine, Enterprise API, and the integration to Backoffice system, like Ingenium, claims, Centre log and imaging system.
- Stakeholder management: Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, ensure clear communication in business understandable terminology and alignment on technical implementation.
- Technical leadership & Project execution: Be primary owner of the overall technical design. Maintenance the list of technical integration items. Drive discussion to identify action items till closure.
- Team co-ordination: Lead cross functional teams, including external vendors, developers, testers, and operations staff to ensure successful project delivery.
- Documentation: maintain overall technical design documentation
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that the implementation process adheres to best practices and quality standards, conducting thorough testing before final deployment
- Change management: Mange change requests effectively, ensuring all changes are documented and approved by stakeholders
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. PMP/CSM or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Experience: At least 15+ years of working experience. Proven experience in a technical lead role, particularly in complex integrations across mobile app, policy administration system, imaging system with underwriting platforms
- Technical skills: Strong understand of cloud native API development, integration layer from digital front end to backend legacy system.
- System Integration:
- Experience in integrating disparate systems, especially legacy insurance systems
- Understanding of various integration patterns and technologies (e.g., APIs, ESBs, message queues)
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data migration strategies
- Performance Optimization:
- Experience in optimizing system performance and scalability
- Understanding of caching strategies and load balancing techniques
- Cloud and SaaS Platforms:Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Experience working with SaaS solutions and their integration challenges
- Understanding of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Project Management and Leadership:
- Experience in leading technical teams and managing complex projects
- Strong communication skills to liaise between technical and business stakeholders
- Ability to create and manage project plans, timelines, and resources
- Agile Methodologies:Proficiency in Agile development practices and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience in facilitating sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups
- Vendor Management:Experience in evaluating and selecting technology vendors
- Ability to manage relationships with third-party service providers
- Communication skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Problem solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
- Software Development Expertise:
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python)
- Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs)
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and architecture principle
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL databases - Knowledge of data modeling and optimization techniques
