Senior Procurement Manager, NPI (Electronic | 60 - 75k)

My client is market leading US electronic appliance brand. Looking to enhance their new product development function, they are now in search of a Senior Procurement Manager, NPI.

Reporting to the Procurement VP, your responsibilities will include:

• Lead the NPI team on procurement activities for NPI projects, from concept to production.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet project timelines and cost targets.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure seamless integration of new products.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
• Manage supplier relationships and resolve any issues that may arise during the NPI process.

To qualify, one must possess

• Degree holder with at least10 years of procurement / purchasing / commodity management experience within the electronics industry
• Engineering degree or engineering background / experience would be an advantage
• Strong experience in new product development is a MUST
• Team leading experience is a MUST
• Proactive, problem-solving mentality and strong stake holder management skills
• Strong command in both written and spoken Mandarin and English is a must
