(Senior) Data Engineer (Python/ SQL)- 30-40k

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with local and regional staff to identify key risks and uncover insights by using data analytics (e.g. requirement understanding, data sourcing, data quality check, data cleansing, data pre-processing, logic development, model development, and data visualisation)
  • Develop and support regular maintenance of tools / dashboards
  • Work with other data analysts to conduct projects
  • Involve in audit projects, ad hoc projects, initiatives and other activities assigned as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Decision Analytics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent;
  • 3-5 years working experience in related analytics areas;
  • Familiar with programming languages such as Python or R, familiar with data transformation and analytics packages, such as Pandas, PySpark, etc.;
  • Familiar with AWS data lake and analytics architecture (e.g. Glue, Athena, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.);
  • Familiar with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or equivalent;
  • Experienced with SQL and Data Query Design, and common BI tools (such as SAP Data Warehouse);
  • Familiar with Jira, Gitlab, confluence or equivalent project management tools;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Creative thinking and problem solving skills, "can-do" attitude;
  • Highly self-motivated and accountable;
  • Able to work independently and deliver result under pressure;
  • Corporate Compliance: Comply with all company guidelines, ISO, ICS or similar standards;
