Senior Associate / Assistant Manager - M&A Advisory

About the client

Our client is a premier M&A advisory firm known for its exceptional expertise in guiding clients through complex transactions. This firm stands out for its comprehensive approach to both buy-side and sell-side engagements, ensuring that every stage of the deal cycle is managed with precision and strategic insight. Due to expansion, they are now looking for a Senior Associate / Assistant Manager to join their growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership on developing and maintaining network relationships.
  • Lead the execution of both buy-side and sell-side transactions throughout the entire deal cycle
  • Drafting definitive agreements, conducting due diligence and support modelling processes
  • Develop and manage financial models and valuations for relevant companies.
  • Conduct research, perform analysis, and write reports on industry sectors and specific companies as needed.
  • Handle multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously.
  • Manage communication with various internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, MBA, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cross-border M&A transactions in Southeast Asia.
  • Proven track record and strong knowledge in cross-border M&A transactions.
  • Professional qualifications in a financial discipline (e.g., CFA/CPA) are advantageous.
  • Strong skills in financial analysis, financial modelling and valuation, market research, and due diligence.
  • Highly professional, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as an individual contributor. Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, and can multitask and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin preferred
