Senior Accountant/ Accountant

The Company

Our client is a world's leading US listed medical technologies corporation. Their products include implants used in joint replacement and trauma surgeries, surgical equipment and medical device products etc. They are hiring accountant/ senior accountant to prepare monthly financial statements for submission to International Division and Corporate office. This role is responsible for complex business unit for Asia Pacific.

Responsibility

Financial Reporting

• Capture, track, and report revenue and expenses; determine appropriate procedures for accounting record preparation, research of transactions and reporting end-to-end.
• Perform accounting month-end close procedures, run and analyze financial reports, prepare financial reports for submission to Corporate for consolidations.
• Full knowledge of balance sheet of small entities or a regular recurring process.
• Work with BPO, oversee, reconcile and resolve problems relative to accounting entries requiring professional knowledge and judgement.
• Maintain and review accounting process controls, implement any approved modification as directed by management.
• Develop and maintain desktop procedures and process documentation for processes or review DTP's prepared by BPO.
• Test, execute and document internal controls audit programs in accordance to SOX and Corporate policies.
• Recommend, assist, test, or implement process streamlining, system improvements or work flow changes.
• Collect data, information, policies and perform research on details of transactions. Ensure work complies with corporate and accounting policies.

Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years audit experience in a Big 4 or 5 years of commercial experience in Finance
• Relevant US GAAP, SOX 404 experience
• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in spoken and written English
• Independent, proactive, dynamic and good team playing
• Practical knowledge in Hyperion /JDE is an added advantage
