Responsibilities
You will support the Information Security programme by identifying, analysing and influencing the management of information risks across the organization. Reporting to the Head of Information Security & Compliance, you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing logs and events and investigating any anomalies
- Escalating / reporting on abnormalities
- Processing any policy changes needed
- Responding to incidents and breaches
- Educating employees about the proper way to handle possible compromised systems
- Continually working to improve enterprise security solutions
- Staying abreast of developments in the Information Technology industry specifically as they relate to Information Security
- Maintaining records and proper documentation for all security products, standards, processes and procedures
- Analysing and escalating high priority technical and/or security related issues
Requirements
- Technical knowledge of IT systems and processes gained from 2 - 3 years' experience in information technology
- An interest in information security and an understanding of information security concepts and controls such as anti-virus, DLP, NAC or MDM
- Previous experience in IT DR, Business Continuity, client service, project management and/or investigating and responding to incidents and breaches would be an advantage
- A background in or understanding of IT risk management and compliance would be desirable
- Security certifications, such as: CISSP, GIAC, Security+, etc. are a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Able to distil complex matters and communicate clearly to non-subject matter experts
- Experience of working with people at all levels. Ability to influence others without direct managerial authority
- Good attention to detail, organized, analytical, practical, able to take the initiative and work to deadlines. Ability to conduct research and analyse results
- Proficient using the Microsoft office suite
