Regional Assistant Manager, Internal Audit (MNC Manufacturing)

Our client is a world-leading international manufacturing company with global presence. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager - Internal Audit to join their APAC regional team. This role will play a critical part in strengthening the company's internal audit function, focusing on operational audits across the manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with regional colleagues to ensure compliance, efficiency, and risk management across diverse business units.

Position Responsibilities

  • Report to the APAC Head of Audit
  • Conduct and lead operational audits across APAC manufacturing operations.
  • Assess internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and governance.
  • Support management in identifying emerging risks within APAC manufacturing operations and provide proactive recommendations to strengthen internal controls.
  • Partner with business units to streamline operational processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure best practices are consistently applied across the region.
  • Collaborate closely with the regional internal audit team to align audit practices and share best practices.
  • Prepare clear, concise audit reports and present findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Support regional/global audit projects and initiatives as required.
  • Utilize Power BI / Tableau to analyze data, visualize audit findings, and enhance reporting quality.

Position Requirements

  • Degree holder in Finance or Accounting or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of internal audit experience, with solid exposure to operational audits.
  • CPA and / or CIA qualification will be an advantage
  • Proven experience in manufacturing companies is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Willingness to travel across the APAC region.
  • Prior regional exposure is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skill and solid due diligence as well as research abilities
  • Proficiency in Power BI / Tableau for data analysis and visualization.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a regional team.
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
