Job description
About the Role:
- Conduct comprehensive ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small part assessments.
- Perform Doppler studies (carotid, DVT, arterial/venous) as necessary.
- Enhance image quality through optimal probe selection, gain adjustments, and patient positioning techniques.
- Deliver preliminary findings to radiologists and provide assistance in image interpretation.
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort during procedures, ensuring privacy and proper gel application.
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment daily; manage probe hygiene and report any malfunctions.
- Document findings accurately in PACS/RIS and complete detailed examination reports.
- Adhere to infection control, Hong Kong regulatory standards, and departmental protocols.
About the Candidate:
- Bachelor's Degree in Radiography (Diagnostic) or Medical Ultrasound, accredited by the Hong Kong Radiographers Board.
- Valid registration with the Hong Kong Radiographers Board (Part 1 or Part 2).
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on ultrasound experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Familiarity with GE, Philips, Canon, or Siemens ultrasound platforms preferred.
- Proficient in English and Cantonese; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
- Strong patient communication and empathetic skills.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
