Merchandising Director - Luxury

About the Role:

  • Develop and execute regional merchandising strategies aligned with global product vision and seasonal collections.
  • Curate region-specific assortments that reflect local customer preferences while maintaining brand identity and luxury positioning.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to optimize product mix, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with global merchandising and design teams to provide feedback on regional demand and product opportunities.
  • Partner with retail leadership to support store openings, product launches, and key commercial initiatives.
  • Monitor inventory flow and ensure optimal allocation across stores and e-commerce within the region.
  • Lead merchandising planning for seasonal buys, in-season adjustments, and markdown strategies.
  • Drive performance of key categories such as leather goods, footwear, ready-to-wear, and accessories.
  • Develop and mentor regional merchandising teams, fostering a data-driven and customer-centric culture.
  • Present seasonal strategies, performance reviews, and market insights to senior leadership.

About the Candidate:

  • 10+ years of experience in merchandising or buying within the luxury or premium fashion industry.
  • Proven leadership experience managing regional or multi-market merchandising teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Deep understanding of luxury retail dynamics, product lifecycle, and assortment planning.
  • Experience managing key categories such as footwear, leather goods, or ready-to-wear is highly desirable.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance global brand direction with regional market needs.
