Litigation Clerk

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, file, and serve legal documents with the High Court, District Court, and other relevant tribunals.
  • Maintain and organize physical and electronic litigation files, ensuring all documents are properly labeled and archived.
  • Assist legal teams in preparing court bundles, hearing files, and exhibits.
  • Track court deadlines and filing schedules to ensure compliance with procedural timelines.
  • Deliver and collect documents from courts, law firms, and clients as needed.
  • Liaise with court registry staff and internal legal teams to resolve filing issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate filing logs and document tracking systems.
  • Provide general administrative support to the litigation department.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a law firm or legal department.
  • Familiarity with Hong Kong court filing procedures and legal documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Cantonese and English (spoken and written).
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office and document management systems.
  • A team player with a proactive and responsible attitude.
