IT Developer/ BA (Cash Equities/ Java/ C#)- 65-80k

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise, provide support and deliverables on a timely basis for any change request initiated by equity trading and middle office user groups.
  • Manage projects, business analysis and application enhancements, including gathering user requirements, producing specs, designing, coding, testing, deployment, and configuration
  • Manage vendors on system enhancements and support whenever necessary.
  • Liaise with users from all areas and with other ITD teams including IT Governance, IT Support and IT Infrastructure.
  • Be client focused and maintain good working relationships with internal business users, mainly with FO EQ users as well as middle, back office and risk management department.
  • Adhering to company development standards and procedures, including change control.
  • Working closely with offices in different regions to enhance and maintain trading interfaces and links.
  • Dealing with day-to-day production problems and maintenance when required.

Requirements:

  • University BS degree or above. Engineering a plus.
  • 5+ years development experience in Equities Front Office systems
  • Hands on with .Net/C#/Java/Scripting
  • Strong knowledge and skills in SQL and Relational database, including MSSQL Server, Oracle, Sybase etc.
  • Solid knowledge in design patterns, data structures, threading and messaging
  • Experience of Maven and Atlassian ALM/SDLC tools (Jira, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Confluence)
  • Experience of automated testing, DevOps tooling and best practices
  • Solid experience in supporting equity business from front to middle office applications
  • Solid experience in back-to-back trading with different region (e.g. Europe, Japan and US) is preferable
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationship with both internal and external users.
  • Good business knowledge on Cash Equities, Futures & Options products
  • Familiar with Equities market rules and regulations in Hong Kong and other Asian markets.
  • Good understanding in FIX messaging, broker connectivity and exchange connectivity
  • Experience in widely used trading platforms such as Fidessa.
