Investment Risk, Associate Director

Our client, a renowned global insurance firm with a robust presence in the APAC region, is expanding its operations in Hong Kong.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate risks associated with investment and asset-liability management initiatives, including LDI solutions.
• Offer expert guidance on LDI matters to senior management, providing strategies to mitigate risks.
• Monitor and assess risks in investment portfolios, asset-liability positions, and derivatives transactions, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with Group Risk to develop and implement robust risk management strategies and frameworks.
• Coordinate and facilitate committee meetings, such as the Financial Risk Committee.
• Prepare and submit regular risk reports to Group Office and risk committees, highlighting key risks to management.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Support Own Risk and Solvency Assessment reporting to regulatory bodies.

Job Requirements:

• University graduate with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience ; CFA and/or CAIA certification.

• Candidates with a strong banking background are preferred.

• Highly detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong financial acumen and business orientation.
• Hands-on experience with derivatives and LDI is a plus.
