Head of IA (Public Sector, up to HK$2m)

We are assisting a public sector organization to join as the Head of Internal Audit.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a risk-based internal audit strategy and annual plan aligned with compliance and organizational goals.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify control deficiencies and areas for improvement in financial and operational domains.
• Lead the full audit cycle, including planning, execution, reporting, and presenting findings to the Audit Committee.
• Evaluate internal controls and risk management processes, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Support management on risk and control issues, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and ethics.
• Monitor and report on audit progress and follow-up actions to the Audit Committee, Executive Directors and senior management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or relevant disciplines
• A relevant professional qualification (CPA, CIA, CISA)
• Minimum of 15 years' post-qualification experience in audit, accounting, or relevant field, with at least 10 years at a managerial level.
• Experience in sizeable and/or non-government organizations are highly preferred
• In-depth knowledge of internal audit standards, risk management practices, regulatory compliance requirements, and enterprise risk management concepts.
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
