Head of Finance - Shanghai

The client:

A globally leading company within a highly profitable business. With distribution networks globally, their products are sold at a global scale across different business regions. The headquarters is in Hong Kong, the role will be working at the Greater China office and will be in charge of delivering meaningful management reports and ad hoc analysis for its various business operations.

The role:

• Based in Shanghai, manage sizable team of over 30 accounting staff
• Budgeting, forecasting and analysis for region, reviewing business strategy and finances
• Monitor daily accounting functions, reporting and working closely with the Hong Kong Finance Function
• Management of tax planning process, compliance and transfer pricing
• Support various internal stakeholders in matters relating to internal controls, tax and project implementations
• Ad hoc assignments and projects

Requirements:

• Degree or above in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
• At least 12 years or more in an all rounded accounting function, experience with financial reporting and accounting
• Able to be based in Shanghai, with occasional travel to southern China
• Previous experience working in an audit firm is a plus, team leading experience preferred
• Qualified Accountant is required, excellent business acumen and able to work with overseas staff
• Exposure to manufacturing, FMCG industry preferred
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
