Head of Compliance - Insurance

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide regulatory and compliance related advice and support to internal stakeholders, and act as a primary contact person for the business with other key stakeholders, including local regulator(s) and other counterparts on regulatory and compliance related matters, enquiries or updates.
• Monitor new and emerging regulation and guidelines impacting the key activities of the Company and the insurance sector, including leading any lobbying activities to influence the outcome of any consultations and putting in plans to deliver any changes required in the Company to meet the new regulations.
• Manage and foster a strong relationship with all relevant regulators in relation to the activities of Hong Kong and ensure timely disclosure of relevant information
• Develop and maintain business-wide compliance programs for the Hong Kong business that include compliance risk assessments, maintenance of applicable policies, that are appropriately tailored to detect and prevent compliance risks
• Support business stakeholders on company projects and initiatives and prepare reports for periodic regulatory and compliance updates to the Board and Senior Management.
• Manage and support members of the current Hong Kong Compliance team.

Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of Controls/Governance experience; Insurance experience is a must
• Bachelor degree holder; Significant leadership experience and an experienced strategic thinker
• Local office working experience is a major plus
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese
