Financial Controller - Retail

Our Client:

The company is a recognized brand in the retail industry. Their stores are well established and are located in primary locations within APAC. Due to further expansion they are currently looking for a new headcount - Financial Controller to support the CFO in team management and financial decision making.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the regional CFO and other internal directors to provide valuable financial and business insights
  • Manage accounting team including 5+ subordinates. Work closely with stores, marketing and other internal stakeholders
  • Ensure month end processes are smooth and accurate, with initial focus on Greater China area and other countries eventually
  • Support and implement internal controls, work closely with tax advisors and support in regional treasury functions
  • Drive monthly and quarterly budgeting, forecasting and provide insights and commentary to CFO
  • Ad hoc projects in transformation and ERP system streamlining

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in Finance and Accounting, CPA qualified accountant
  • At least 10 years of experience in an all-rounded finance or analytical position
  • Experience working with Greater China business, team management experience
  • Previous experience in products industry - retail, FMCG or pharmaceutical firms would be an added advantage
  • Sound knowledge in ERP system implementation would be an added advantage
  • Excellent business partnering and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
