Financial Controller - Regional

About the client

A leading European business providing services and products to sizable organisations. The APAC regional office looks after the existing well developed businesses with expansion plans to other SEA countries. An excellent opportunity to part of an international working team with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly financial and management reporting duties for Asia Pacific Region, around 4-5 existing countries and more to come
  • Lead an efficient small team looking after accounting and reporting
  • Communicate and guide the overseas accounting & finance teams, manage overseas stakeholders including outsourced service providers
  • In charge of providing valuable insights on cash flow, balance sheet and working capital
  • Involvement in accounting workflow, policies, and system related improvements
  • Assist and interact with regional directors across different countries and verticals to explain variances and business performance
  • Ensure internal compliance and accounting frameworks are met
  • Ad hoc projects to facilitate business growth

Requirements

  • CPA Qualified Accountant with Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accountancy or relevant subjects
  • Previous Big 4 Audit experience would be an added advantage
  • At least 12 years of working experience in the commercial field or audit firms and exposure managing subordinates
  • Regional experience with Asia Pacific and experience opening new offices in SEA would be advantageous
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, Cantonese to work with Hong Kong staff. Mandarin preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to work with international stakeholders in the organisation and the headquarters team
