We are supporting an international retailer in seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to oversee financial operations in Hong Kong. This role will be pivotal in ensuring robust financial management, compliance, and strategic support for business growth in HK market.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance function in HK, including accounting, reporting, tax, and compliance.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions and growth initiatives.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive performance improvement.
• Oversee treasury functions, including cash management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships
• Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and group policies.
• Partner with regional and global teams to align financial strategies and reporting standards.
• Supervise and develop finance teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring strong internal controls.

Position Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• CPA qualification
• Minimum 13 years of finance experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Strong background in the retail or luxury consumer goods industry
• Proven track record in managing multi-market finance operations
• Collaborative, adaptable, and resilient in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and collaborate across functions
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP requirements
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
