Financial Controller

Job description

Our client is a well-established US Consumer Goods company with Hong Kong as their Trading hub. A rare opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to lead their Accounting and Administration function.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead a small and highly effective team in Hong Kong. Your main duties are to ensure accurate and timely production of financial and management reports, and oversee taxation, statutory, treasury and budgeting activities. A key part of your remit is to facilitate senior management on financial decision from identifying risks and revenue opportunities, investment analysis and cashflow management. You will also have responsibility for HR and Administration duties, where you will have a holistic commercial view on operations and business processes, playing a critical role in achieving business results along with the leadership team. On a regular basis, you will liaise with external parties such as auditor, banks and suppliers.

To qualify, individuals must possess:

  • Degree holder and professional qualification in Accounting
  • Minimum 10 years of Accounting & Finance experience , at least 5 years in a supervisory role
  • Experiences gained in SMEs and Trading/ Sourcing sectors are highly preferred
  • Hands on approach, strong commercial acumen
  • Result oriented and strong team working spirit
  • Excellent in both written and spoken English and Chinese
