Finance Manager (PE Fund House)

Job description

The Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations of the Private Equity Fund, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective financial management. This role involves collaboration with various teams to support investment strategies and fund performance.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
    • Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
    • Analyze variances between budgeted and actual performance, providing insights to senior management.

  • Cash Management:

    • Monitor cash flow and liquidity positions, ensuring adequate funding for investments and operations.
    • Oversee cash management processes, including bank relationships and fund transfers.

  • Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure adherence to compliance requirements related to financial reporting and fund operations.
    • Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

  • Team Management:

    • Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, fostering professional development.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support investment decisions and strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CFA designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within a private equity or investment management setting.
  • Strong knowledge of fund accounting and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks affecting private equity funds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
