Fabric Development Lead

Our client is a well‑established international menswear retailer recognised for quality, modern design, and a strong global presence. As part of their continued commitment to fabric excellence, they are now seeking a Fabric Technical Supervisor to support material development, supplier collaboration, and innovation across their Asia sourcing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed fabric analysis throughout development to ensure performance, durability, and compliance with brand standards
• Maintain complete and accurate material ID cards, including specifications and testing results
• Build, organise, and manage an accessible fabric library for design and production teams
• Work closely with fabric mills to ensure production meets agreed technical requirements
• Carry out punctual fabric inspections and address quality issues with suppliers promptly
• Support sourcing teams by counter‑sourcing key materials from reliable suppliers
• Participate in innovation projects to evaluate advanced materials and enhance product competitiveness

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or similar disciplines
• Minimum 8 years' experience in fabric development or QA within the textile industry; background in multiproduct sourcing offices or fabric trading preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of yarn and fabric properties, testing methods, and inspection standards
• Excellent communication, supplier‑management, and cross‑team collaboration skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
