Events and Sponsorship Manager

Job description

As the Events and Sponsorship Manager, you will play a vital role in driving the success of our chamber's events and securing sponsorships from businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive events strategy to support the r's objectives and enhance member engagement.
  • Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events, such as networking mixers, business conferences, workshops, and member appreciation events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual setup, and event promotion.
  • Identify and secure sponsorships from local businesses to support chamber events and initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, ensuring their needs are met and maximizing their exposure and benefits through sponsorship packages.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and analyze metrics to measure the success of events and sponsorships, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in event management and sponsorship.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in event planning and management, preferably in a chamber of commerce, nonprofit organization, or related industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with sponsors, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese) is required.
