Director - Business Development (Securities Firm)

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise business development, marketing, strategy planning, PR and client development.

  • Organize and oversee the execution of marketing and business development initiatives; establish a structured process from lead generation to deal conversion, ensuring effective cross-department collaboration and achievement of revenue and market-share goals.

  • Develop and implement brand, communications and PR strategies to enhance corporate reputation, strengthen media relations, and manage crisis communications when necessary.

  • Formulate and manage annual marketing and business development budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and measurable returns.

  • Lead and mentor the team, providing strategic direction, professional training and facilitating cross-functional collaboration to drive growth.

  • Work closely with product, sales, IT, and vendor teams to identify and seize opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or related disciplines.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business development / marketing in the financial services indsutry.

  • Proven record of leading diverse teams and balancing brand strategy with measurable sales outcomes.

  • Strong strategic mindset, commercial acumen, and a "can-do" attitude with hands-on execution capability.

  • Native or fluent Mandarin speaker, with strong professional proficiency in English and Cantonese.
