Compliance Manager, Insurance

Job description

Our client is a leading global insurance company with a strong presence in the APAC region. They are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join their compliance team.

If you are an experienced compliance professional with strong English communication skills and a background in banking, insurance, or Big 4 consulting, this could be the ideal role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer regulatory advice and compliance support at both regional and local levels.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory interactions, especially in China and newly integrated markets.
  • Assist in preparing compliance updates for local boards and senior management.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory reporting requirements, performing quality checks on reports submitted to regional and group compliance teams.
  • Aid in compliance risk assessments, ensuring compliance with key regulatory standards.
  • Supervise compliance audits and control testing, identifying areas needing improvement.
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of the annual compliance plan across local markets.
  • Manage compliance-related projects, ensuring they align with group-wide initiatives.
  • Promote collaboration between local and regional compliance teams, ensuring effective information sharing.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in financial services, with at least 3 years in insurance compliance.
  • Open to Big 4 Candidates with insurance exposure.
  • Experience in a multinational company with exposure to regional or group-level compliance operations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to present regulatory updates to senior management.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
