Business Development Manager

Our client is a well‑established international logistics and cross‑border e‑commerce solutions provider with a strong presence globally. They offer comprehensive postal, parcel, and commercial delivery services supporting global online sellers and digital commerce platforms. With continuous expansion in the region, the business is now seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth and strengthen key customer partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across major online platforms, consolidators, and direct e‑commerce sellers
  • Analyse customer requirements and recommend tailored logistics solutions to support commercial performance
  • Create strategic sales plans to meet assigned revenue targets and ensure sustainable business growth
  • Build and manage a solid sales pipeline aligned with business objectives and market opportunities
  • Maintain regular engagement with existing key accounts to drive retention and maximise long‑term customer value
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer behaviour to provide insights and recommendations to management
  • Review trading performance to identify risks and new opportunities
  • Support business development activities across logistics, warehousing, last‑mile delivery, and freight services
  • Coordinate special service arrangements including warehousing, local transportation, and airfreight when required
  • Prepare weekly sales updates, performance analysis, and quarterly business review materials

Requirements

  • Degree holder preferred, ideally in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years' sales or account management experience within logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or cross‑border e‑commerce
  • Strong understanding of e‑commerce ecosystems, cross‑border logistics, e‑platform operations, and airfreight processes in Hong Kong and China
  • Familiarity with B2C e‑commerce models is an advantage
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and client‑relationship management skills
  • Commercially minded, proactive, and solutions‑oriented with strong problem‑solving capability
  • Able to collaborate effectively within multicultural teams
  • China market exposure is essential; weekly business travel to Mainland China is required
