Business Compliance Manager

Job description

Job Duties:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in regulatory matters including AML, FATCA/CRS, and HKIA guidelines in Operations, ensuring operational processes have appropriate controls in place.
  • Coordinate and prepare responses from an Operations perspective for AML and conduct inspections from HKIA and Common Reporting Standard (CRS) inspections from the Inland Revenue Department.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Operations, IT, and Compliance, to implement corrective actions from inspection/audit/compliance review findings with ongoing monitoring.
  • Participate in regulatory projects and prepare and review user requirements for process and system enhancements, including increased efficiency of name screening alerts generation, periodic review of high/medium/low risk customers, new transaction monitoring rules setting, FNA, and cooling off related enhancements.
  • Prepare training materials and conduct regular training sessions for Operations on regulatory topics.
  • Revamp AML and FATCA/CRS manuals and review other internal operating procedures including FNA, payment processing, and cooling off handling.
  • Work with the data governance team to compile and prepare local and group reports on Key Risk Indicators and Enterprise-wide Risk Assessment.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business compliance within the insurance sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate financial crime risks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
  • Proficiency in compiling and preparing reports on Key Risk Indicators and Enterprise-wide Risk Assessment.
