Business Analyst/Tester (Banking)
Job description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled UAT (User Acceptance Testing) Tester to join our banking team. The UAT Tester will be responsible for ensuring that all banking software systems, applications, and processes meet the requirements of users and stakeholders. The successful candidate will work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure that software applications are fully tested before they are deployed to the production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for banking software applications.
- Identify defects and document them thoroughly, and work with developers to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to ensure that test scenarios are aligned with business requirements.
- Create and maintain test data and environments to ensure that testing is performed in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Ensure that test results are accurate, complete, and presented in a clear and concise format.
- Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on testing progress, results, and any issues that arise.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of UAT processes, tools, and methodologies to ensure that testing is performed efficiently and effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UAT testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 1 years of experience in UAT testing in the banking industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with testing tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
