Assistant Social Compliance Manager (Manufacturing | 35 - 50k)

My client is well-known US manufacturer. Looking to enhance their social compliance function, they are now in search of an Assistant Social Compliance Manager.

Reporting to the Social Compliance Director, your responsibilities will include:

• Assist in the development and implementation of social compliance programs and policies
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of suppliers to ensure compliance with labor laws, environmental regulations, and ethical standards
• Collaborate with suppliers to address and resolve compliance issues, providing guidance and support for improvement
• Maintain accurate database records of compliance activities, audit findings, and corrective actions
• Prepare detailed reports on compliance status and present findings to senior management
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to social compliance

To qualify, one must possess

• Degree holder with at least 4 years of social compliance management experience
• Experience in both social auditing consultancy or manufacturer would be consider
• Strong knowledge of social compliance auditing standard such as GRI, ISO 14001, ISO 26000, ETI, or SA8000
• Problem solving skills with creativity and proactiveness to push new initiatives
• Good command in both spoken and written Chinese and English
• 10-20% travel is required
