Assistant Business Planning & Control Manager

The Company

Our client is a world leading luxury retail company. They are looking for an Assistant Business Planning and Controlling Manager. This role will take care of the Hong Kong and Macau market, act as business strategist working closely with retail heads and other business units to achieve KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Fully responsible in budget preparation on sales, margin and expenses including balance sheet and cash flow
  • In charge of monthly closing, work with accounting and various functions to ensure appropriate, accurate, complete and sensible booking
  • Perform financial analysis on variance providing insightful comments vs historical and forecast, cost tracking, periodical reporting
  • Review and alert on potential risk on cost, process, etc. and proactively work with functions for actions and solutions
  • Ensure internal controls in place are adequate and in compliance with all corporate governance requirements and to lead the annual retail store audit
  • Provide simulation on store projects (opening, renovation, closing, etc.) and coordinate with legal and landlords for contracts and agreements
  • Prepare management reporting and presentations
  • Any other ad hoc tasks assigned

Requirements

  • University graduate in major of Finance / Accounting
  • 4 years' experience in FP&A function; Retail, Fashion industry preferred but not a must
  • Result oriented, able to work independently and be proactive in initiatives
  • Good inter-personal skills working with multi functions and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Good time management and able to work under pressure and tight schedule.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin
  • Professional use of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
