Our client is one of the biggest E-commerce companies headquartered in the US. They've business partnership with 1000+ suppliers and business presence across the US, UK and EU. The company has an aggressive business expansion in the APAC market with Hong Kong as a regional hub, and it's one of the fast-growing e-tailers in its sector. They are currently looking for an Asia Procurement Manager to lead part of the core Supply Chain functions and leverage the growing business internationally.

Based in Hong Kong, you will play a key role in developing and executing standardized procurement processes for all origin services in Asia. As an Asia Procurement Manager (Global Supply Chain), your responsibilities will include:

  • Accountable for the procurement strategy for origin services in Asia
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to define needs for expansion and execute RFPs to support
  • Lead strategic initiatives for optimizing vendor sourcing and performance
  • Lead the transition to new vendors as part of the procurement process
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure seamless and cost-optimal outcomes in the supply chain
  • Identify and create the right business tools with internal stakeholders (with engineering, operations and business development) to support scale-up
  • Support in select strategic activities such as identifying & signing on new business partners, pricing strategies, and market research
  • Develop and scale business processes for new products/business opportunities

To qualify, individuals must possess:

  • Degree and have 7+ years experience in Procurement functions with a solid track record of success leading a team performing procurement processes
  • Experience in managing cross-functional projects in a freight forwarding environment with strong analytical skills
  • Experience in negotiations/sales processes with external suppliers/vendors, leading process improvement initiatives by successfully collaborating with multiple stakeholders and building tools & visibility solutions
  • Outstanding negotiation, communication and presentation skills
  • Solid experience in senior stakeholder management in an international, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical, business acumen and interpersonal skills with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent command of written & spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin required
