Application Support Analyst- Financial Industry 30-45k

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide technical support for our front office applications, including Bloomberg, primarily catering to distributor clients rather than retail clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of applications used by approximately 50-60 users, including fund managers and product teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for front office applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with users to understand their requirements and resolve application-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Develop and maintain scripts in Shell, Python, and SQL to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of users on application functionalities and best practices.
  • Work closely with internal teams to enhance the application features and user experience based on feedback.
  • Monitor application performance and conduct regular health checks to ensure optimal functionality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in application support, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of front office applications, including Bloomberg, with an understanding of buy-side and sell-side operations.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Shellscript, Python, and SQL.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with users at all levels.
