Our client is a global law firm committed to delivering outstanding service across multiple jurisdictions. The Business Acceptance team plays a critical role in safeguarding the firm's reputation by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct due diligence checks on new clients, matters, and counterparties to ensure compliance with firm policies and regulatory obligations.
  • Perform Know Your Client (KYC) and Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) checks, including reviewing identification documents, beneficial ownership structures, and risk assessments.
  • Support the onboarding process for new clients and matters, ensuring timely and accurate completion of acceptance procedures.
  • Liaise with partners, fee earners, and other stakeholders to resolve queries related to client onboarding and business acceptance.
  • Monitor ongoing client relationships for potential risks and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory standards and firm requirements.
  • Assist in developing and improving processes, policies, and systems to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or business acceptance within professional services, financial institutions, or law firms.
  • Strong knowledge of KYC, AML, and due diligence processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with compliance tools or databases is an advantage..
  • Strong communication skills in English & Chinese (either Cantonese or Mandarin).
