Accounts Payable Officer (MNC)

Our client is a leading wholesale company with a strong presence in the market, supplying diverse products to retailers and distributors. To support their growing operations, we are helping them to look for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team and ensure accurate, timely processing of vendor invoices and payments.

Position Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Transaction Processing

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Record payable invoices in the accounting system.
  • Process inward and outward payments in the accounting system.
  • Prepare supporting documents for payments.
  • Monitor all payments to ensure they are completed before due dates.
  • Follow up with relevant teams to ensure Accounts Payable are settled in line with cash forecasts.

Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Perform reconciliations for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Maintain daily updates of the bank register.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports as required.
  • Ensure all information (e.g., financial charges, loan movements) is entered into the accounting system in accordance with procedures.

Treasury & Compliance Support

  • Assist the treasury team with banking and compliance procedures.
  • Support adherence to company policies and financial controls.

Position Requirements

  • Strong accounting background with experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working in holding companies preferred.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexibly to ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Demonstrated initiative, integrity, and problem‑solving ability.
  • Ability to work effectively in an open‑plan environment with transparent communication.
  • Proactive approach to improving processes and efficiency.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and orderly accounting records.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to interact and communicate requirements to colleagues in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Organized work habits with a system‑oriented mindset.
  • Commitment to following company policies at all times.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is required, Mandarin is an advantage.
