Accountant - Sales Audit

The Company

Our client is a well-known fashion retail and brand management group in Asia found in 1850 with over 172 years history. They are hiring an Accountant who is responsible to ensure accuracy of sales records and monitor the process of account receivable accounts. They have over 80 staffs for the finance team in the Hong Kong office. This role will work closely with the merchandising cashier team and report to a Sales Audit Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all sales are accurately recorded in system and accounted properly on a timely basis
  • Monitor A/R collection process and ensure the settlement collection per trade terms
  • Reconcile and follow up the coupon/rebate, process online refund of e-Business transactions
  • Identify opportunities for improving check out process
  • Overview the operations of e-Business in sales and return cycle and payment process cycle
  • Perform quarterly audit on Frequent Purchase Reward Program and investigate on doubtful VIP cases with store manager
  • Handle schedules & aging analysis for audit and management account purposes timely
  • Prepare month-end closing schedule and management account preview
  • Liaise credit card companies for opening new merchant account
  • communicate with card centers conducting integration test, connectivity test and UAT test for acceptance of new payment tender or currencies
  • Prepare routine and ad-hoc management audit reports and highlight exceptions for Management's attention

Requirements

  • University graduate in accounting or relevant discipline
  • With minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the retail industry
  • Experience in AR / revenue control of sizable firm will be an advantage
  • Good organization, numerical and advanced Excel skills
  • Committed team player and good communication skill
  • Knowledge of Oracle Retail would be a plus
