Accountant (International law firm, HKD35k-40k)

About the Company

A well-respected UK law firm is looking for a Accountant to join their finance team. The role is to support the finance team on all internal and external financial accounting, reporting, tax and audit matters of Hong Kong office.

Reports to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions including review Accounts Payable
• Responsible for General Ledger accounting, month-end closing and reporting for Hong Kong office
• Assist in annual budget preparation and review the forecast and budget
• Ensure accounting processes comply with both Hong Kong and UK SRA Accounts Rules
• Handle internal profit tax filings on a timely basis and liaise with external auditors
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reporting

Job requirements:

• Bachelor's degree holder in Accounting or Finance, or related disciplines
• External audit background preferred but not a must
• CPA qualification or finalist
• Familiar with HK & UK SRA Accounts Rules
• Strong technical skills in financial accounting
• Good communication skills and detail minded
• Speaks fluent English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
