Accountant

Our Client is an Italian agro-food group founded over half century. They are expert in producing chocolate and chocolate compounds, UHT vegetable creams and margarine. They are looking for an Accountant to join their HK branch and handle full spectrum of accounting and reporting duties. This position will report directly to the APAC Accountant in Malaysia and dotted line to Hong Kong Country Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Handle full set of account, includes but not limited to AP and AR entries and GL reporting
• Responsible for monthend closing, preparing monthly financial reports
• Analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy and completeness of the data.
• Maintain accurate record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss
• Ensure compliance with payment, reporting and other local tax requirements
• Review the taxation document and tax returns data prepared by Tax consultant
• Liaise with auditor, external consultant, tax authority, banker and any third parties.
• Prepare and cross check weekly or monthly payment post into online banking platforms
• Update cash flow record and prepare forecast
• Handle assigned adhoc duties

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree holder of Accountancy or relevant disciplines
• With minimum 3 years of work experience, trading industry experience is preferred
• Familiar with SAP or any ERP system will be an added point for this position.
• Detail oriented, independent and able to work under pressure
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Points and Outlook).
• Proficient in speaking and writing in English
