Training Manager/ Assistant Manager

Job Summary:
The Fashion Retail Training Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs for fashion retail employees. They play a vital role in ensuring that sales associates and other retail staff members have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service, meet sales targets, and uphold the brand image. The Fashion Retail Training Manager collaborates with various stakeholders, including store managers, HR professionals, and subject matter experts, to develop and deliver effective training solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Training Program Development: Develop comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of fashion retail employees, encompassing product knowledge, customer service, sales techniques, and brand values.
- Training Material Creation: Create engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, training manuals, and online modules, to facilitate effective learning and knowledge retention.
- Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars for retail staff members, ensuring that the content is delivered in an engaging and impactful manner.
- Onboarding: Develop and implement an onboarding program for new hires, ensuring that they receive the necessary training and support to quickly adapt to their roles and responsibilities.
- Performance Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through various methods, such as evaluations, quizzes, and observation, and provide feedback to participants and management.
- Training Needs Analysis: Identify skill gaps and training needs within the fashion retail organization and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to design and deliver targeted training interventions.
- Training Logistics: Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, venue selection, and resource allocation, to ensure smooth training delivery.
- Training Program Evaluation: Continuously evaluate and improve training programs based on feedback, industry trends, and evolving business needs.
- Training Compliance: Ensure that all training programs comply with relevant legal and industry requirements, such as health and safety regulations, diversity and inclusion practices, and data protection policies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with store managers, HR professionals, and subject matter experts to understand training requirements, align training initiatives with business goals, and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as fashion merchandising, retail management, or human resources. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably in the fashion retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of fashion retail processes, including sales techniques, customer service standards, and visual merchandising.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to assess training needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in using training software, learning management systems, and multimedia tools.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and accommodate changing business needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for fashion and a keen eye for industry trends.
